StormBytes was founded in 2019 in Sydney, Australia, by a group of friends who were tired of game reviews that felt disconnected from the actual playing experience. We set out to build something different — a publication rooted in genuine passion, rigorous analysis, and total editorial independence.
Today, our team of 12 full-time writers, editors, and tournament analysts covers everything from indie releases to global AAA launches, with a particular focus on how games land for Australian audiences — from server performance to local pricing context.
We are headquartered at Level 4, 80 George Street, The Rocks, Sydney NSW 2000.
Independence
We accept no advertising from game publishers and never allow review scores to be influenced by commercial relationships.
Depth
Every review is written after completing the game. No first-impression scores, no rushed verdicts.
